Interested in Being a Mentor or Mentee?

The Mentorship Program is a volunteer effort through PMI Dallas Chapter Professional Development.  The program works closely with project managers throughout the metroplex to bring an experience that enables, empowers and provides an opportunity for others to advance their knowledge-base in the profession. The program serves project managers who are looking to participate as either a Mentor or a Mentee and explore real-life matters pertinent to career development.

Mentors

  • Mentors should be PMI Dallas Chapter members with at least 5 years of project management experience.  A project management certification is encouraged but not required.
  • Mentors will need to be equipped to provide practical knowledge, guidance and best practices of project management the mentee sees as relevant and useful.

Mentees

  • Mentees seeking guidance and coaching must show a genuine interest in project management with a willingness and openness to learn.
  • Mentees are required to identify their current needs in project management in addition to the necessary time commitment needed to achieve mentoring goals.
  • Mentoring is not intended to prepare the Mentee for exams, certifications or assist in a new job search.
