Rama Devi Lanka is the Programs team's volunteer of the month. We could not ask for a more thoughtful, creative, energetic, versatile, and proactive Director of Lunch & Learn Programs, and we are fortunate to have her on our team. Congratulations, Rama!
For the past year, Rama has served as the Director of the Lunch & Learn Programs. Because we had to move quickly to a virtual format, now Rama has a slightly different event to manage than the discussion-over-lunch agenda. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, all sessions have been combined into a single virtual format on Zoom since April 2020. Rama immediately obtained speakers, designed games, searched for interesting discussion topics, and found more speakers. As a result, the combined attendance exceeds previous in-person totals for both venues.
Rama does not stop with Lunch & Learn. She willingly assists at the Virtual Dinner Meeting in moderating the Lobby networking discussion and the Think Tank when needed. She also served as a mentor on the Professional Development team and as Vendor Evaluator on the Marketing team.
