You are amazing! There. I said it. It’s true. You. Thank you.

My bio is a tribute to you. I thought about it too… an opportunity to talk about me, me, me… but you know? The truth is… my bio is a story of you. Thank you.

Seeing you at PMI or at work, shaking your hand, or, err… waving over Zoom, and hearing the amazing thought leadership you share and accomplishments that come with it.

Watching your lights come on… the truth of experience in your voice, holding court with those in your care, smiling and having a great time. You tell us all about what’s going on at home too, and I think it’s great. Thank you for being vulnerable. It’s a strength.

Remember that time you bailed me out of a tricky scheduling situation that saved the budget? What about the clever strategy you described on how to use storytelling, in a status report, to the delight of your clients? Uh oh… or that one time when I needed advice on how to have a crucial conversation with an underperforming colleague? Whew! Thanks again!

Time and time again, you were there for me and I’m grateful. I hope I give back to you as much as you to me.

Volunteering at PMI Dallas, including four years on the Board, helping manage IT, the website, social media, and this very newsletter, has been an incredible experience. Being new to DFW at the time, I made a lot of friends, grew my network, and became a much better project manager because of my time being around you and learning from you… the best project managers in the business. Full stop.

Thanks again! Doug

On behalf of the chapter, we thank Doug for sharing his skills and professional experience with the Dallas PMI membership.
