Please join the PMI Dallas Chapter in presenting Brandy Patton as our April 2023 Volunteer/Employee of the Month.
For almost three years now, Brandy has served as Executive Director for our Chapter. In that role, she works hard behind the scenes to support the Board and members. Creating and hosting meetings, completing various administrative tasks for Finance (including light bookkeeping), collating important documents as resources, helping to onboard and train Board members, supporting the Operations team and President with completing requests, building relationships with the Region 6 staff (for further support and for training), knowing where to go or who to ask to get questions answered—these are just some of the tasks that keep Brandy busy.
She’s proud to have supported the Chapter during the COVID pandemic; helped the Chapter as it transitioned to new payment systems (to process payments for meetings and events online); worked to make sure important documentation is collected and passed on or filed; supported the Chapter when it hosted several Brand and Land events with John Signo; and supported the Board members.
Outside of working with the Chapter, for the past 21 years Brandy has served as a professional copy-editor, medical editor, senior editor, and proofreader for reputable clients such as the Journal of American Medical Association (the world's most-read general medical journal), American Heart Association, WordWiser Ink, the University of Texas at Austin, and awarded marketing companies.
